A வினைச்சொல் sub-type: எச்சம் (non-finite verb) is incomplete on its own and links to a following word - it splits by what kind of word it links to: பெயர் எச்சம் (links to a noun) and வினை எச்சம் (links to another verb).

A recipe strung together as several steps chains many actions with எச்சம் before the final complete instruction.
